Therefore, the grapes for this wine come exclusively from first-class parcels with predominantly old vines that produce excellent grapes for exceptional wines year after year. These were selectively hand-picked in mid-October and then immediately brought to the winery at Schloss Marienlay on the Ruwer. There, the grapes were immediately pressed, and the resulting must was fermented overnight in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks after natural sedimentation. The result is a vintage-typical exotically fruity off-dry Riesling that nevertheless already hints at the typical salty Scharzhofberger minerality.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIntensely fragrant bouquet with aromas of white peach, pear, and mirabelle plum with distinctly exotic notes of passionfruit and pineapple with subtle salty slate notes in the background. On the palate, refreshing and juicy with an exciting interplay of sweetness and acidity, recurring salty slate minerality, and a long, complex finish.
