First experiments were made in the late 90s, making this wine a pioneer for dry top wines in the Saar region. The impressive steep slope directly behind the winery, with its perfect exposure and quite deep red slate soils, offers an ideal basis for expressive wines. After the harvest, the golden-yellow grapes were pressed after a short maceration period, spontaneously fermented with natural yeasts, and aged by cellar master Swen Klinger in both stainless steel and large wooden barrels.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSeductive and intensely fragrant bouquet with yellow fruit aromas such as quince, fully ripe mirabelle plums, and tangerine. Fine floral notes as well as Mediterranean herbal hints of thyme and rosemary round off the aromatic profile. On the palate, this Große Gewächs reveals itself to be powerful and full-bodied, with a noble, silky-fine texture, ripe acidity, and a distinctive mineral foundation. The finish is impressively complex and long, carried by subtle nutty-yeasty nuances.
