Unterlind Trittenheimer Apotheke Kabinett 2022 is an extremely fascinating and multi-faceted Kabinett that meets the highest standards!

The grapes for this fruity Kabinett come from Trittenheimer Apotheke, one of the most outstanding vineyards on the Middle Mosel. This southwest-facing VDP. GROSSE LAGE is located between 150 and 200 meters above sea level on the right bank of the Mosel, directly opposite Trittenheim, the hometown of winemaker Heiner Bollig. In the past, the vineyard was only accessible by ferry, before a bridge was built at the beginning of the 20th century. The unusual name of the vineyard could derive from the Trittenheim dialect and the foundation of the Trier Abbey. The nearly 72-hectare top site could be derived from "abteilich" (abbatial) or "Abtei" (abbey) and is probably not related to any healing properties of the wines. Rather, the name may be a variation of the term "Abteiberg" (Abbey Hill), called "Abdikt" in the Moselle Franconian dialect, which goes back to the foundation of the Trier Abbey. In this majestic steep slope, the up to 100-year-old Riesling vines grow in classic Mosel single-post training on gray and blue Devonian slate soil. Despite the challenging slope of 40-70%, all work here is done 100% by hand, including the selective hand harvesting of the grapes in autumn. These are then gently pressed on a traditional basket press and spontaneously fermented in stainless steel tanks with natural yeasts. Until now, it was primarily the Rieslings from Trittenheimer Apotheke by Ansgar Clüsserath and Grans-Fassian that attracted the interest of wine connoisseurs worldwide. But Heiner Bollig's Rieslings open up a completely new chapter here:

Crystal clear, radiant, and cool-appearing bouquet with aromas of preserved lemons, grapefruit peel, white peach, white currants, star fruit, and smoky-herbal notes reminiscent of lemon thyme and wet slate. On the palate, incredibly juicy and refined, incredibly mineral with a perfectly balanced sweetness-acid interplay, silky fine texture, and excellent length with recurring mineral notes. Without question, a top-class Kabinett!

über: Underlind Trittenheimer Apotheke Kabinett 2022
"From the first sip, the Unterlind Trittenheimer Apotheke Kabinett 2022 completely captivated me. It is complex and multifaceted, yet perfectly balanced. I was particularly impressed by the great balance and density, which goes hand in hand with a simultaneous lightness. The wine is fascinating and it would not surprise me if it soon achieves the same cult status as Ohligsberg Kabinett from Julian Haart or Gisela Kabinett from Hofgut Falkenstein!"

The clear crystals in your wine are tartrate crystals. These crystals form through the crystallization of potassium bitartrate, a natural component of wine that can form during the aging process. Tartrate crystals are completely harmless and do not affect the taste or quality of the wine. You can simply let the crystals settle and pour carefully, or remove them by decanting.
