SAARKIND

SAARKIND – Exciting wines from the innovative association of young winemakers of the Saar!

Saarkind is a community of 11 young Saar winemakers founded in 2017. Their common goal is to preserve the values of our region through sustainable practices and the protection of nature. With the motto "together, sustainable, enduring," they focus on cooperation and the preservation of winemaking tradition. Unlike previous generations, who often worked independently, the "Saarkinder" have joined forces to create something together. They organize the wine festival " Klang und Glanz ," which appeals to young people through modern music and an attractive design. Through festivals, events, and markets, they advocate for local, sustainable products, art, and culture, thus strengthening our region. It's no wonder that some of our most exciting wineries are among the Saarkinder.

Saarkind Wine
Saarkind wine is a collaborative creation of all member wineries, with each winery contributing its part. Typical of the Saar region, it's a delicately dry Riesling – a wine that, like hardly any other, represents the region and, with its fruity-fresh taste and juicy balance of sweetness and acidity, ensures incredible drinking pleasure.
Saarkind Sound and Splendor
The Saarkind wine festival was first launched in 2017 under the name "Sound and Splendor". In cooperation with the Wiltingen winemakers' chapel, the SAARKIND winemakers redesigned the former Wiltingen wine festival, thus continuing a tradition. The festival on the Wiltingen Saar riverbank combines lifestyle with regional character, design with music, and young winemakers with a relaxed riverside atmosphere. It offers more than a conventional wine festival and presents a weekend full of sound and splendor. Every Saturday there is a SAARKIND wine tasting with over 80 wines from 11 young winemakers, followed by live music. A captivating festival, worthy of our Saar wine!
